Ive been talking about SLUT WALK for a while now, and I get that weird face and a big question mark like, "What is SLUTWALK????" It stands for :

(Self-confidence Lovers United Together to Walk)

Taken from information online, here is a brief overview of what it is about

"SlutWalk has become a worldwide movement, working to challenge mindsets and stereotypes of survivor-blaming and slut-shaming" and we want to bring that cause to Hampton Roads!.
SLUTWalk Norfolk is Taking Place on April 28th 2012.

SLUTWalk began in Toronto in response to a representative of the Toronto Police giving a shocking insight into the Force’s view of sexual assault by stating: “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized”. This statement catalyzed a protest by the masses to reclaim the word “slut” and fight against survivor blaming.

The head organizer of this event is Jacqueline Roderick. If you have any questions, suggestions, or want to take part in organizing this event, please email her at SlutWalkNorfolk@hotmail.com.

Jacqueline had posted online that she was looking for local artists in the area who were willing to donate art for an art auction being held on December 9th, so of course I wanted to donate some paintings.

I wanted to do this because I have had personal experiences in this that I prefer not to share, but I know I am not alone in this, as many people who may be reading this, know someone that knows someone who has been affected by sexual assault. There is help out there for those who need it and those who want to stop living in fear and stop being a victim. This is about standing up for yourself.
If you want more information in this organization,
You can follow their FACEBOOK here.

I just wanted to share this and share my artwork with yall. Thanks for stopping by!
