Birds, Infinity and Music

This morning, I met up with my "Galaxy" theme model, Shiloh to give her a lil gift basket I put together along with a cd of her photos from our shoot. When we had met up months ago to discuss my photoshoot ideas, she had told me of her idea she wanted for a tattoo. She wanted to incorporate birds, music notes and the Infinity symbol, so this is what I came up with.

And of course my camera died and I cannot find the charger, so Shiloh took a pic for me and tagged me. So, here it is.

Feminine and cute, she loved it!
I wish I knew how to tattoo, but it will take some time, not to mention some training and equipment. My birthday is coming up around the corner, and I am planning on getting equipment and start an apprenticeship or mentoring with another tattoo artist.

For now, I am trying to draw everyday and enhance my skills and get better with each drawing. One day and one drawing at a time. :)

Cover up Tattoo Design

One of my good friends from when I was like 12 years old asked me to draw up a tattoo to cover up a panther he had tattooed on his back. What he wanted was his son's name, NASH written in alphabet blocks. So here is what I came up with, see the before and after:

His tattoo he wants covered up

Here is what I came up with. I drew the lettering over the existing design.
I hope he likes it, I havent heard back from him yet, but I know he will. I have more tattoo drawings to do, so just wanted to post this.

Script Lettering

Since I have decided that regular college is just NOT for me, I stopped attending to classes and now just concentrating on my cosmetology license and my ART. I decided to just STOP procrastinating and just draw to get back into it, so my good friend Nick wanted me to draw up these lyrics for him in script lettering.

Script Tattoo Lettering "We Can Pretend We Don't Envy The Dead"
Nick absolutely loved it and is planning to get it tattooed on his side. I wish I knew how to tattoo already but just dont have the time or money to do an apprenticeship.

Picture of me with my sketchbook....lol I was up until 130 am finishing this up. lol

I found a picture of some lettering I did in middle school, lol I thought it was funny to think that I even drew lettering when I was younger.

Here is Nick and I at a fashion show back in April.
He is actually working on this fashion show that we will be showing this next saturday. The Theme is "Cities of Night" and we will be featuring fashion and hair of London, Tokyo, Milan and I forgot the other one. LOL I am not going to be a model this fashion show, but I am going to be a makeup artist concentrating on the LONDON look. I love London, although I have never been there. I wanted to move there to attend Fashion school and explore the culture when I was younger.

I will be posting more on that later! Since I completed Nick's drawing, everyone is now wanting me to draw up their tattoos for them, so I have alot of requests that I need to get going on.

I am off to get ready for the day and run around and run some errands.

Quote of the Day:

Becoming the person that you want to be is a lifelong journey. Everyday we should learn something new about life, and about ourselves. Some people choose to value who they are by the pursuit and acquisition of material things, instead of trying to gain and pass qualities to others that will last for generations to come. Being everything that you can be involves the pursuit of becoming better than you were the day before.

Make a pledge to seek wisdom, to be helpful, respectful, and reliable to those around you, not only for good karma, but to also be a great example of what a person should be to those around you. Be a person of compassion, of motivation, and determination. Set goals for yourself and accomplish them. Go for your dreams, and inspire others to go for their dreams as well. Be, because you can be everything, and anything that you set your mind too. Most importantly, be yourself!

Megan Massacre

I am sitting down, relaxing and last week I recorded on my DVR, NY INK and am finally getting around to watching it. I have been playing with the idea of wanting to do a tattoo apprenticeship after I get my cosmetology license.  This show is definetly inspiring me to get on my game and start drawing more. If I want to do this, I gotta go after it.

I love seeing female tattoo artists and when I saw Megan Massacre on NY Ink, I fell in love! I love seeing women take charge and have complete confidence in themselves in their art and their craft. I learned that she does her own makeup as well on some of her photoshoots.

I love this photo!
This has inspired me to want to work on my craft, my art skills, my image and my life. To other people, when they see these images, all they see is a model, to me I see my future, doing makeup, styling hair, possibly doing tattoos, painting, designing my own clothing line and much more.

I cant wait to start doing my own photoshoots!

Posing with my new Bracelet Cuff: a jeweled heart with wings that he got for me from his visist to San Antonio, Texas. I love it!

Here is a pic of me browsing around in HOT TOPIC today, right before my hubby and I saw Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2 (my second time already seeing it, but we saw it IMAX in 3D, which is an awesome experience)

I hope this inspires you to work on your craft and skills!

Quote of the day:

Go ahead and release your fears.
Releasing our fears is grabbing hold to our future. Many times what people fear most is the inevitable, change. Sometimes in order to fly we have to let go of the dead weight which are sometimes our own fears holding us down to the ground. Fear can lead to unwanted challenges, both physical and emotional in a life that is already filled with enough difficulty. Fears can severely hinder you from living your life to the fullest extent.

In order to overcome your fears there are many ways in which to do so, whether it be with praying or meditation, confronting them directly, or seeking professional help, we must do what we have to in order to get past our fears so that we may be able to live our lives without them. Whatever strategy that you choose to use to overcome your fears, do so with determination and faith, so that you may be able to live your life to the fullest, the way that life is meant to live."

Face Tattoo

I got a new tattoo! Stars on my face, doin it up Kat Von D style.....Im just kidding! I decided to do my makeup different the other day since I was laid up in bed with a nasty summer cold. So, to feel better, I did my makeup on the bright side.

I love colored eyebrows

Almost time to recolor my hair again

I love the colors in my eyes, thinking about using this as inspiration for my next painting
I dont think I would get a face tattoo, but I think they look awesome! I was in Mickey D's with my zombies (aka my children hahaha) and a girl there thought it was a real tattoo, you shouldve seen her face when I told her it was makeup. LOL!

Here are some artistic people who REALLY Do have face tattoos. ENJOY!
You may recognize him from Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" Music Video

I am surprised the baby didnt come out with a tattoo or two :)

I hope this inspires you to have fun with makeup or maybe tattoos!

Quote of the day:

"Pain makes people change.
"The things that we go through in our lives teach us lessons for the betterment of the rest of our lives if we choose to learn from them. Pain makes us change, sometimes for good and sometimes the worse. In order to get over our addictions and faults in life we must endure pain most times to do so, but in the end if we fight through the pain that we experience and don't cave we will achieve the change in ourselves that we desire.

Do not be scared of pain, but instead endure it. Do not let pain deter you from the course in life that you want to take. Remember that pain is necessary in life and in order to change who you are you must experience some pain. Continue to push on, through the pain, and through the discomfort, never let pain make you stop, instead use it as motivation to keep pushing forward."

Tattoo Underground

I was looking around at the next Big Tattoo Convention in Virginia and came across a few vendors that might be there, and I stumbled across this website:  The Underground Asylum

I saw their hair color selection (which they sell Manic Panic) but what really caught my eye are their gruesome selection of shoes!

These are my fav! Anchors, nautical stars and skulls! love love love!

These look like what the Bride of Frakenstein would rock out if she lived in our times now! lol

I think These are called Santaria.....I cant remember

I love these! They are so different thant what you see nowadays. I am thinking these are perfect for the fall!

"EYE" love these wedges! They are so EYEcatching! lol
The website has more than just shoes, they have costumes, accessories, menswear, kidswear. I get excited when I see designs that are out of the norm. It inspires me to keep pushing towards my dreams of designing my own line. Just wanted to share this with you!

I hope it inspires your inner artist!

"People who lack the clarity, courage, or determination to follow their own dreams will often find ways to discourage yours. When you change for the better, the people around you will be inspired to change also....but only after doing their best to make you stop. Live your truth and dont EVER stop." Steve Maraboli
