Its the 5th day after my surgery. Im moving around pretty good, I dont need as much help walking, using the restroom, or getting in and out of the car or up and down the stairs. Of course, still on pain medications as prescribed. Hubby had the day off today and it was pouring all day, but we didnt let that get in our way of going out.
I got ready today and decided to do a silver smokey eye with two cat eye tips on my eyes. I cant always catch a good close up pic with my camera but I managed to get a couple pics.
I used my 120 color BH Pallette using just 3 colors to blend. For the eyeliner, I used E.L.F. eyeliner in Black and for my lower lash line I used my NYX eyeliner in Black.
Jermie and I grabbed a late lunch at Playa El Azteca because we were craving Mexican food and I got my usual Chicken Taco Salad which is my FAV!
Weve been looking for an apartment now for a few weeks somewhere close to Jermie's work and mine too. We found a few today that we liked, but were looking for the right one with the right amount of space and within our budget. Im positive we will find one.
I got some exercise today...doing none other than retail therapy....or more like retail window shopping. We walked around the mall, tried out some gadgets in Brookstone, played with the Nook Color ( and dropped major hintage to jermie that I wanted it hahahah ). We grabbed some Starbucks and did some "people watching" in the mall, which is what Jermie and I love to do.
I found this cool vintage looking popcorn maker which I thought was awesome! Jermie is a huge POPCORN eater so I think I will scoop this up for him. What do you think? (In case youre wondering, I spied this at JCPenny)
We stopped into Yankee Candle to smell the candles, and we ended up getting a few votives for our bedroom. I have been on the hunt for a candle that smells like coffee or something sweet and I found this one called "creme brulee" oh its smells heavenly.
That was our day today, as its now midnight, so it WAS our day. Hope you enjoyed coming along with us on our rainy day adventure. See ya again soon!
Approaching Mother's Day
Wednesday, May 9, 2012
Mother's Day is approaching fast! If youre not quite sure what to get your mother for Mother's Day or for your wife who is the mother of your children (for all those guys reading this hahahaha) here are a few things I have picked out that I know I would like and other mothers I think would enjoy. Of course, you know what your significant other likes...whether they are into art, beauty, fashion, geekery or traveling, cooking or being a full time mom.
I have been eyeballin one of these babies for while- I love to read books and magazines and surf on the internet reading blogs or watching Netflix. And of course- I wouldnt be a woman if I didnt want accessories for it
I am in love with the Mystic Topaz. I want this as my wedding ring or as a set with a ring, earrings and a necklace. I love all the colors it reflects. You dont always have to get diamonds for the woman in your life- at least not for me. I love all gems and stones in any color or style. This is a good idea if you have a jewelry lover in your life.
Of course, you can always get flowers as well. Or other type of arrangements such as fruit or junk food! hahahaha
For those mom's that love to bake or cook up amazing treats in the kitchen- there is the option of having custom artwork put onto a mixer. I have blogged about this artist before-but she def deserves another spot on here! I would love to get this for my mother or even myself! Check it out below
There are so many to choose from on her website HERE, check her out!
You could always get giftcards too for anyplace for your mother or wife to go shopping at. Target, Kohls, online. You could plan a trip somewhere such as a bed and breakfast spot or go up to a park or a beach for a picnic or a walk..or 4 wheeling in mud. hahahaha
Heres a cool outfit I picked for myself through POLYVORE, any of these items listed a mother would love to get!
So that is my wishlist/list of ideas for myself or for anyone else in your family or circle of friends. Of Course, Mother's Day is not all about gifts, it is celebrating your mother for all the hard work and dedication and love she has given to you, or if your a mother yourself, celebrating your experiences with your children. Its a day for all mothers to feel special. I hope you all do feel special for Mothers day!
From one mother to another, HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY coming soon!
