My 2013 Dream/Goal Boards

Two nights ago, I stayed up until 5am making my dream board. Last time I made one was back when I attended Paul Mitchell Rudy and Kelly Academy in January of 2011. A dream board is a poster where you put images or pictures of things you want or things you want to accomplish. The beauty of it is that you can put whatever you want on it. I wish I knew where my old one went. It disappeared in one of the moves I did last year. I put things like becoming a cosmetologist, being the best mom I could be, have a real wedding ceremony and so much more. Some of those goals are still on my list.

Last week, I watched “The Secret” on Netflix. I never read the book, only because I thought it was something really religious..(no offense to anyone) but yes I was naive . It has nothing to do with religion, but with positive thinking and speaking things into existence. I love watching it, in fact I recommend it to anyone who is looking to think more positive. Here it is below. Even if you don’t have time to watch it, just let it play in the background while your on the computer, or folding laundry. In fact, that is exactly what I am doing right now as I blog. I have always believed in the saying “you speak things into existence”

Watch this full length movie on youtube!

You can also get the book, I mean, I love reading, but I don’t always have time to read. I do love this promise below. Its become my first thought of the day and the last when I go to bed.

Moving on to my dream board, after watching this movie, it motivated me to get off my ass and make a new dream board to motivate me. I can say it all I want that I am going to do something, but its easier for me to look on my wall and see my board and its not something I can ignore.

I have so many goals of mine, that it took 2 boards to make. One is mainly for personal and then the other is my professional/artistic side. I put some motivational quotes on there and even of other people on there to represent other successful people.

Some of my goals are:

  • Go back to school and finish my graphic design degree
  • Get more tattoos/become a tattoo artist
  • Design my own clothing line
  • Visit London or study abroad
  • Get better in airbrushing
  • Have my own store
  • Get in shape and fit into my favorite jeans

Here’s my challenge to you. Make one. Have fun with it. Put it somewhere that you can look at it everyday so that when you are feeling lazy, this will remind you to get up off your ass and do something. I need this more than anyone because like I said before I can be a bit of procrastinator.

Have you ever made one? What are some of your goals? I wanna hear!
