Warm Bodies Movie Night

My friend Kathleen scored some tickets to go to the early Premier of Warm Bodies tonight, so we made a family trip of it with my brothers, cousins and of course Hubby. I am glad for the chance to get out. Movies can be expensive! I mean $8 for some popcorn? Yea that’s shiiii cray. I go to the dollar store and stuff it in my purse…hahaha

It was nice to get out of the house because I have been a hermit held up in my art zone just drawing and sketching. I have figured it out….I don’t like winter…I hate being cold and since our weather has been crazy..I have just stayed inside huddling up in my husbands broncos snuggie. hahahaha

Before the movie, I had to swing by Barnes & Nobles and cop the latest copy of Bound By Ink magazine. Oh yes, the best well one of the best tattoo mags out there! I cant wait to read it and check out their awesome photography.

We got to the theater early and got good seats. Previews were good, although I cant remember any of them. As for the main feature, Warm Bodies I thought was a cute and funny comedy. Not creepy or scary. I laughed out loud at a lot of parts. I think some of you would like it too, maybe? I like a lot of cheesy movies, so yall will just have to go see it and tell me what you think.

As for me, I am watching Lord of The Rings, The fellowship of the ring and I just finished another createmytattoo drawing for yet another contest. Its 230am and I think I will go lay my head down and try to go to bed. I am quite tired because I did do my Insanity workout and Pure Cardio workout really works my calves and I am ready to rest them!

See ya tomorrow! xoxox, Cecilia

Alphabet Blocks

Last week, I received an email from a gentleman in Canada who had stumbled across a drawing of alphabet blocks I drew up for a friend last year and requested I draw one up for him and of course pay me for my work. How awesome is that? I think that it's so cool that he found me and asked for me to a piece for him. It's a huge and humbling compliment.

He wanted old fashioned wooden blocks with his daughters initials. He wanted to incorporate her hand and her birthday in it somehow. So I sketched up these two ideas that popped in my head. I didnt finish inking it all the way.

He ended up going with another artist but he still paid me, which was cool. I enjoyed drawing it up for him, and I'm just happy that he is getting something that he loves.

I wanted to share it with yall because when I share my artwork it motivates me to keep going and push myself to work on my drawing and sketching and shading.

Here are a few other sketches I had in a sketch book that I never posted. I did post on my Instagram.

My signature legs I love drawing with shears and strands of hair

I picked up the latest Rebel Ink magazine yesterday at Barnes and Nobles and got alot of inspiration from that. Do you read tat magazines? If you do, which one is your favorite? Mine are Bound By Ink and Rebel Mag! Love them! One day, I hope to be in a magazine, that would be awesome.

Tattoos and Ink,

Tattoo FEVER

My latest tattoo I got last september "Sweet Surrender" which I need to have finished

I love Tattoos. I love drawing them, looking at them, getting them and I hope to oneday to be a tattoo artist. Lately, Tattoos have been on my brain. Ive been watching INKMASTERS on tv and just been getting excited about learning how to tattoo. I dont know how to just yet. I had the chance to do a tattoo apprenticeship a year and a half ago, but I wasnt quite ready plus I needed to work first or at least have a trade (which is why I went to beauty school).

So, now that I have completed cosmetology school and have a full time job and freelancing, I am def getting focused back on Tattoos. I am sooooo itchin to get new ink too. Its been too long since last september since I got my lettering on my chest. I plan on getting more added soon once finances are a lil bit better. hahaha I only have 6 tattoos right now, but I plan on being fully sleeved and side pices and maybe some leg pieces too.

Here are my tats so far..they seem so random and I guess they are, but thats how it is.

My nautical stars symbolizes "coming home" one red and one blue for my Two children
My falling stars and "strength" tattoos
My mermaid tattoo, I want to get this one redone..covered but I want a better mermaid
Today during lunch, I went to Barnes and Nobles for a starbucks (which I had their marble mocha macchiato, which was yummy) and a bagel with cream cheese and picked up my 2 favorite tattoo magazines. I havent had a chance to read them just yet since I am catching up on Project Runway and Walking Dead episodes....hahaha but I wanted to share what I am reading to my readers!

I love this magazine. I love the way the photography is presented and their articles are well written. Just love it. I read them over and over all the time. You should pick up a copy! You wont be disappointed!

I like Rebel Ink too because they show fellow tattoo artists and I love reading how each of them started and seeing their craft. Its very inspirational.

In just a couple weeks, I will be attending my first Tattoo expo in Hampton Va. I had planned on going to one last year in Richmond, but a body painting job came up and opted to get my paint on instead. I am hoping to have fun and maybe look into buying some equipment. I cant wait to see the car show, the people and just everything!

If you are in the area, you should def come and check it out! Ill be there and of course Ill be taking pics and possibly Ill do a vlog on it! So keep your eyes open!

Thanks for stopping by! Itching for ink, Cecilia Marie
