Monsters U and Us

The weekend is just about over and I am ready for Monday, which is weird, but I have a TON of work to do this week!

Even though I mainly work at home right now and freelance, I do try to take a normal weekend off especially while the kids are out of school for summer. Plus, I am taking advantage of the fact that I can take the weekends off before I start working in a salon again.

I finally made another youtube video of me shaving my head, or well, half my head again. If you have followed me for a while, you know that I rocked the shaved side for a good 2 years. It feels good to have it back and now that my hair has taken a nice break, its time to get back into my hair and makeup. It took a back seat for a while, I must admit, while I focused on my artwork and tattoo drawings and body painting.

If you havent seen my lil video, you can check it out below, and I also have our new pup, Mystique, show her cute lil face in there too!

say hello to my puppy!!!! oh yea and I shave half my head again

Hubby and I surprised the kiddos to a movie today! We went and saw Monsters University! We loved it! So cute and just as good as the first one! Of course, all pixar movies are good, no matter if it’s the second or third movie! I actually got all dolled up with my makeup, which is something I haven’t done lately-at least with colors. I have been stickin to the Naked 2 palette, cat eye liner and nude lipstick. I got a lil more festive.

I plan on  coloring my hair tomorrow or tuesday, but knowing me and how impatient I get, it will be tomorrow. So stay tuned for that and the craziness that will come with the next post!

Timeline of My Hair

I have had my head half shaved for almost a year, roughly 9 months now and I have never regretted it. I started experimenting with color too since attending Paul Mitchell Academy. I draw inspiration from many sources when I decide my colors and placement, but I have never copied just one idea. As a true artist, I do not COPY someone elses style. I build ideas off of what I see and make it my own. I recently came across some work online (of someone I know) that resembled my haircut, color placement and colored eyebrows. I like that I can inspire fellow artists, and that my style is trendy and catches the eyes of other people around me and its really flattering.

Here is a timeline of my hair the past year! Enjoy!

Blonde Peek-a-boo highlights
Black and auburn
Half blonde, half brown/black one side shaved

Blue, blonde and black
Black and Hotpink/red (fav last summer)

I hope this inspires you with your next hair color! I am still deciding what I want to do next with my hair!

I just gave my husband a haircut and he let me do a design in his hair using my Tattoo Clippers a friend gave me! I will have to take a picture of it! I will try to get some funky colors in my hubbys hair if he will let me. hahahaha

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again! I have been sick the past few weeks with the stomach flu, a cold, congestion....uggghhh its been kickin my butt! I am getting better and going to be getting back to doing photoshoots and videos real soon!

Crazy Lady with a shaved head!

Arent these Lilies so beautiful??? I am in love with color this summer and for some reason, I have switched from blue to orange....lol I am letting the blue fade out of my hair and gonna be changing my hair yet again. lol Here is what I practiced on my babydoll and I am gonna do this next:

so many different colors: Red Inkworks, Yellow Inkworks, Golden Brown and Violet red!

Here is the other side!
My cousin bartends at a mexican restaurant nearby and the staff told her that her family came to visit, and they told her "the crazy lady with the shaved head" came by! lol That is so funny! But I dont care, I love being remembered for fashion and hair!

I am inspired by these lilies! I will have to make another lily paining soon  but after I get some more paint!

I hope you are inspired by the nature around you! Have a wonderful day!
