Chillin Like A Villain,

Wiggin Out

Wiggin Out Yellow
I went back to work this past friday. Im doing better, but I have to take motrin for the pain. My body is recovering, still achey and my hormones are all out of wack. But it was good to go back even though it is for one day. (Im off on the weekends) Friday are a lil low key, not all employees work on Friday, so I didnt feel so overwhelmed.

When I walked in, almost everyone was wearing Wigs! I found out it was "Wiggin Out Friday". So, to join in the fun, I grabbed a few wigs and snapped a few pics! haha

Wiggin Out Alien

Wiggin Out 2

I think I love the blue and green bob wig! It was less hot to wear than the other wigs I had on. hahaha

Wiggin Out I also worked on customizing 18 pairs of heels! Yes! 18 pairs! It takes a lil while, so of course I am doing one at a time. Here is the first set of shoes I did for a client. They were alot of fun to make! Purple and black rhinestones with black and purple feathers.

Im working on the next set of heels this week, it is American Flag inspired. Perfect for 4th Of July coming soon in the next few months.

At Xotic Eyes, we are starting to do more custom work. In the works now are plans for "Glitter and Rhinestone" Parties where you and your family or friends can come in and customize something whether its a pair of shoes, wine bottles, picture frames or whatever your hearts desire that isnt too monstrously big. haha I cant wait to do one, I know the kiddos would love it! What do you think? Would you want to do something cool like that? Leave a comment below!

Xotic Eyes Photoshoots

If you follow my blog, I posted that I was hired on to be part of a creative team for Xotic Eyes and I have been apart of the team for almost a month and I just have to say I really love it! I love the awesome products that we create and the employees are really fun to work with. The owner and creator of Xotic Eyes Shannon Maxey has been creating some awesome new lines to come out very soon! We have been doing photoshoots almost daily.
With Model/Tattoo Artist: Sari Asahi

If you are not familiar with Xotic Eyes, you can read up on them here

These are just a few pics I took with my camera. So they are more like behind the scenes. Once photos are ready, I will post them to share with you!
With model: Vanessa Tiffany

Not only does Shannon come up with these designs and creates them, she is also the photographer for all the shoots and for the website and packaging. We have our room set up and as soon as the model arrives, Nikolas and myself get to work on her hair and makeup.
Model: Celeste Rose

This is after I applied their makeup and styled/curled hair. I help to get the models prepped so that when Shannon had the final design, she can just come in and apply it and then we can shoot!

It takes longer to get the model ready than to shoot. Isnt is funny how that is?

I have worked on photoshoots before, but I have learned alot from working with Shannon. Many tips and tricks that I never would have even thought of are becoming second nature to me to where I wouldnt even go back to what I was doing before as far as applying makeup.

I cant remember how many photoshoots we have done this week, I want to say we have had 6 models this week. Each model is featuring a brand new design. Some of which are Egyptian, Angelic, Poison Ivy, Bad Girl, Pink Flamingo and a few more that we will be shooting tomorrow.

Here are just a few sneak peek photos of the new products that will be coming out.

My next few posts will feature each of the models and their info so you can see their amazing work and get to know the faces behind Xotic Eyes.

So, what is Xotic Eyes? This company was created by the artist Shannon Maxey, who created line of wearable art. You may have seen these products in Halloween Stores, Spencers and other creative stores. What makes this product different from others is that it has a strong bond that allows for it to stick to the skin and also allows for it to be waterproof and sweatproof.
Many businesses has ordered these for clients, dance and cheer teams, party stores and many more to follow soon as this trend is catching on with each passing minute! They are also hoping to go bigger with selling to bigger franchises.
I had an interview with this fabulous company earlier this week and I am hoping that I will be able to join this awesome family soon after I graduate from Rudy & Kelly Paul Mitchell Academy. I was so inspired while sitting in a room full of glitter, makeup, accessories, blinged out bras and sky high boots, wigs, headpeices, I just knew that I had to share this with my readers and how awesome this is.
Many celebrities have been rockin Xotic Eyes, and it is spreading like wild fire across the nation and even internationally and it is all coming to you from my home town, good ol' Virginia Beach.

This goes out to all the artists, MUA's, hairstylists, and anyone crazy or creative who want to add some sprakle and drama, check out Xotic Eyes! You wont be dispappointed.

I am not being paid or sponsored to tell you about this- I just think this company is amazing and I had to share- plus since my interview with them, I have received many questions like "What is Xotic Eyes?", so this post is for you- you can check out more on there website at

Thanks for stopping by and see you in the next post!
