Face Paint Friday

If you tuned in earlier this week, my blog was down for a few days due to some auto renewal issue with google, but I finally got it all figured out and the blog is back up. I am planning on switching from blogger to Wordpress in the near future or may just keep my blog here and create a new one there. I am still deciding.

So how was everyone’s week? I stayed pretty busy along with hubby and our holiday week we spent working. I had a facepaint gig with Tattoo Skills on 4th of July and got to enjoy the fireworks.

I had painted my face and my arm in the beginning and by the time the night was over, I had rubbed it off or I sweated it off. But I had a good time. I got to use my new Essential Colors Wolfe Palette that I ordered from Sillyfarm.com

For this weeks video, I posted a video on what I keep in my face paint kit. If you are not subscribed, go ahead and click below and subscribe! You will totally make my day!

Aside from facepainting, I have been in and out of the salon while the owners are getting it ready for our grand opening on July 20th. I have been offering my clients a discount and letting them see where I will be. I love all my clients, they are so sweet and they are the reason I love being a hair stylist.

Check out these lovely before and after photos: (I kept forgetting to take a before photo so that’s why the hair is wet haha)

Insanity Again

A few months back, well, I cant remember when, I got a copy of the INSANITY workout from my mom when she got back from Korea and I wanted to try it out since I heard so much success with it. I kept up with it for about a week, then lost interest. I am done making excuses! The discs have been sitting on my shelf so I dusted them off, put my work out clothes on and started the first cd.

I didn’t have the workout schedule so I did find it online so that I could keep better track of my work outs and I am not just doing random workouts. (if you need it too, click the link highlighted in pink! )

Calendar-Pic

I just did the first workout and I had to go to my own pace..but I kept up with it. I cant overwork myself straight out, gotta build up to it. I have been watching my diet as well, which is hard because I am a junk food addict!

I found a menu from a fellow blogger that I want to try out. I will eventually make my own

6-10-12 meal plan

I will definitely make some adjustments!  This inspires me to make my own menu.

This is a good idea to pack up my lunches and fruit snacks.

Ill post my progress as I go- maybe this will inspire you to do the same!

Pick Me Up

With the New Year creeping up fast, many of us feel more energized. We all set goals or resolutions, and usually were motivated to do different things like lose weight, go to the gym, eat better, watch our spending, or trying something new everyday.

Not everyone feels this way when the time comes to ring in another year. Sometimes, we feel out of place, lost or we feel nothing. Completely unmotivated. We need a PICK ME UP every once in a while to remember what it is that we are working towards.
As an artist, I sure do have my days where I just dont know what I am doing with myself. I dont want to do anything, and I try to talk myself out of doing things, or I make excuses as to why I dont want to start something.

We all need reminding of what it is we are working towards. Its easy to get down, or depressed when things arent what we want them to be. We see our peers, family and friends doing things and we feel that slight ting of jealousy although were happy for them, we get pulled into a funk.

I just wanted to remind you  to just chill. If youre feeling overwhelmed, lost or unmotivated, maybe you need a break. Take some time to just refocus, and find some inspiration. Take a small day trip somewhere, read a magazine you normally wouldnt, log in to PINTREST hahaha.or call a friend to talk it out- youll feel better getting it all out! When your ready to move to the next step, you ll know when that time is.

Dont ever compare yourself to what other people are doing in their lives. You will never move forward in your path if your focusing on what other people are doing. Make a dream board, where you cut out images of your goals, your hopes and dreams and post it where you will see if daily. If you goal is to one day own a salon, or a boutique, having images of your dream goal helps to give that reminder to keep going.

Even though your goals may seem too far away, everyday offers a new experience that you take with you on your journey. Focus on what you need to do and as each day passes, it turns into weeks, months and then all of a sudden, youre at that moment in your life when things are going your way.

We all have our days. If you ever need a pick me up, you can come here :) For a smile and an online hug!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed your stay!

This is for you Jinaki! I love you

Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.

Motivation

This single phrase on this photo circulated among many people online and I just had to share it with my viewers.

We always find excuses when it comes to doing things- I am definetely guilty of this too. Especially when it comes to projects, homework (when I was in college) or other boring chores that I dont wanna do, like clean out the college or even my car. hahaha

Many of us procrastinate, wanna sleep in all morning or push off something that you say you will do tomorrow and then forget about it altogether.

My friend Terry

She made this for me
I had posted this online, and a friend of mine (Terry from the picture above mine) from school saw it when she was laying in bed, contemplating whether or not to come to school that day, and because she saw this image, she came to school and said that it made her day, even though she didnt want to come, she knew that she needed to be at school.

She hated me for posting it while all still loving that I did post it. It made her day and in a way it made my day too. Its nice to know when I can make someone smile.

So I hope this made your day! Enjoy some of these quotes that I find motivational as well. And as always, thanks for stopping by!

We shall never have more time. We have, and always had, all the time there is. No object is served in waiting until next week or even until tomorrow. Keep going... Concentrate on something useful.
Arnold Bennett quotes

Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy.
Wayne Gretzky quotes

You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.
Ralph Marston quotes

Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.
