What color now?

As promised, I wanted to share with yall a few images that has inspired me in my next hair color ( that I am in the middle of bleaching right now).  I have noticed that since I did my last pink/purple/blue colors that the trend started popping up especially in the ombre'd look, which I adore. But I never keep one color that long...so onto the next color in the spectrum!

I decided to do an all over color instead of doing an arrangement of colors, plus it is easier to maintain and keep bright by just adding the color to my shampoo and conditioner. When I have more than one color, it makes it harder for me to do that. I usually let it fade out until its so gross I just wanna chop it off.

I found all these pictures on Pintrest...my latest obssession. Tell me what You think? I cant wait to see what my hair turns out to be!

Ive always done lil hints of purple when I color my hair, but never just full blown purple, or should I say Lavender.

I decided to use a different brand this time besides the Joico colors I used before, which I recently read were used in coloring the cast of The Capital people in The Hunger Games! Ill write more on that tomorrow. But for now, I need to go rinse my hair out and finish my hair so I can go to sleep! Ill post more tomorrow!

Sunset Inspired Hair

One of my clients stopped by last night for me to do her hair anyway I wanted to do.  I love when I get a chance to do wild, funky hair! Its just my absolute favorite. I usually dont plan out how I am going to a color placement until its time to part the hair. Once I have the vision in my head, I go to work taking care to not mix the wrong colors together.

I have been inspired by the sunset lately and all the colors the sky turns while the sun is drifting away and the moon starts to peek out in the night sky.

Here are a few pictures of when I was blow drying and then curling her hair. She loved it, as well as everyone else who was watching me do her hair! Hope you like it and tell me what you think!
I used Joico Colors available at Cosmo Prof
I dont why I look so serious...I guess I am concentrating!
I love the way all the colors look when curling hair!
Her hair kinda resembled tropical flavored skittles....I almost wanted to eat her hair. hahahaha

I love this so much, I am tempted to do this to my hair, but then my client wouldnt be the only one rockin this style. And I dont copy any style even if it is one I created for someone else. hahaha

I wanted to share with my viewers of course all the types of art I am involved with! Hope you enjoy this latest piece of art. Hope to see you soon!

Passionate Hair

Even with my busy schedule, I still find time to take my hair clients that have decided to follow me out of school. I love it that I can do everything that I love and that I am passionate about: Hair, makeup, and fashion. I love it even more when my clients are brave enough to let me do something out of the box. If you cant tell by now, I love color! I am a big fan of bright colors! One of my regular clients, Jackie let me do a hot pink/indigo mix on her hair last night.

I cant seem to ever remember to take before and after pics when working, so she took these photos when she got home and sent them to me. I had fun doing this on her hair. With her previous colors, the bright colors did their own thing and created a beautiful ombre'd mixture. Once I blowdried and styled her hair, I was really happy with the results and so was Jackie!

I must say that I have come to love this industry and not because I get to have fun with color and makeup all day, But I am in love with the transformation of hair and makeup does to a person. I have seen energies change completely and not just from a beauty service, but the relationship that develops between a client and a stylist/artist.

I love all my clients and I hope they all know that! I cant wait until I have my studio set up and I can have my clients enjoy all the services that it will offer! I just wanted to share this fun color with all my readers!

Atomic Turquoise

In all the craziness of this past weekend, I almost forgot to post about my new hair color(s). Here are the two Manic Panic Colors I chose to use:

I had lightened the crown of my head and fringe area where I wanted the Turquoise to go. After I washed the lightener out and dried my hair, I then applied the turquiose to the lightened area.

I sectioned off all my hair- I did this myself only because I am too impatient and I wanted to change the hair color already! hahaha

Here you can see where I lightened it.

Next, I applied the Raven over the red, and since this is a semi permanent, it is more like a glaze over the red and the affect is pretty cool. It looks black but in the sun is a deep black-red. It reminds me of a bird feather! Like an exotic blackish red feather.

I also freshened up the shaved side and Voila! Done! I got tired of the red since I had it for 6 months and wanted to go back to darker colors now that fall is kickin in. How do you like it?

And yes these are 3D glasses with the lens punched out! I dont know why but I love wearing them- there goofy and funny and add some spunk. I know I am a nerd hahahahah

How do you like it? I hope that this inspires you to experiment on colors too! I would love to see them if you could send them to me! cecilia@sweetsurrenderart.com

MANIC Panic

I have been using MANIC PANIC hair colors for the past 6 months. and I LOVE IT! I have been coloring my hair red for a couple months now, in fact it is AMPLIFIED Manic Panic in Vampire Red.

Here is my red hair journey- hahahah

It started out in small sections until I ended up opting for my whole head being this vibrant Vampire Red!

Red has been a big hit this summer season and even going into the fall. I love this red because it really brightened up my face and definetly matched my personality.

Check out MANIC PANIC at their website and see their journey that started Thirty Years ago!

Here are some of my favorite colors that I cant wait to try out!

They even have wigs for sale too! All wigs are about $20- so not bad of a deal if I say so myself!

I am getting rid of the red, and going to be doing something different, so stay tuned to see what I do next to my hair!

I hope this inspired you to go red, or any other color of the rainbow! What color is your hair? or what color are you dying to use????

Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, "hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "oh, you mean purple!" and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, "no - I want magenta!"”- John Mayer
