Baby Hipster

This past Sunday, Matthias and I got the rare chance to have mom and son time. We went to Starbucks and ordered our holiday drinks. He gets his white hot chocolate and I get my Pepermint mocha at kids temperature simply because I hate burning my tongue and waiting for my coffee to get cool enough to sip on. I managed to get a pic of us.

He loves his hat! He's had it for about a year now. Its from Target..Harijuku line of course. He snatched my glasses from inside the car and wore them all day. He is soooo stinkin cute. He is alot like me and when I notice lil things that we have in common, it just makes my heart melt.

Later, we went to his football banquet party to celebrate the season and to get his trophy. He was so excited to get his trophy and to also go bowling....oh yea, it was held at a bowling alley on base. Many many kids and their parents. It was actually pretty fun.

Check out my hot neon bowling rental shoes! They match my tights under my ripped jeans! I managed to bowl almost a full game before my hip and wrist started hurting.  Arabella was excited to go bowling too! She bowled more games than us! She bowled 5 games!!!! Lets just say she was fast alseep as soon as we got in the car.

Look how bog his trophy is!!! He was so happy and I couldnt have been more proud of my baby boy. I am glad that he stuck through the whole season and he cant wait for next season!

Now, I need to get off this computer and make breakfast for the fam...even though its lunchtime. Tons of stuff to do. Im making my dining room into my art studio and gotta start christmas shopping. I know, I know, its a lil late, but so much has been happening. well, im off to start the day!

Antique and Thrift Stores

I love finding treasures. The past couple of years, I took an interest in finding cool stuff in antique and thrift stores. Yesterday was a lil rainy and cloudy, so the kiddos and I went to the Antique store. Matthias and I went a while back, it was his first time going and he absolutely loved it. He was excited on the way there. Arabella on the other hand never been before and mysteriously "didnt feel good" as soon as we got there.

I loved this 1950's vintage dress with this hat. I wanted to get it so bad, but we were only looking today.

I fell in love with this lavender living room set. hahahaha There was alot more stuff this time around than before especially furniture. I was also surprised how crowded it was, normally its so quiet and usually barely any kids are there.

Matti ran into the camera as I was admiring the table behind him

I have had my eye on this for a long time and she wont sell it...its for "display only" I HATE THIS!!!!!!

Matthias thought this was sooo cool. Do you remember these? I used to have a red one!
Vintage sewing kit I found

Look at this adorable kids chaise lounge!!!!!

Humungo Pirate ship!!!!
Old Schooldesk, it matched his Captain America Shield

For some weird reason I love this white and blue chair and the painting on the wall.
The kiddos went to their sisters birthday party, and I got an oil change and then cruised over to a few thrift store. I found a few things.

Photobucket I love the star print shirt and the glittery striped shirt. The patterns are for Bella so I can teach her how to sew. She is so excited for me to teach her. I found this super hero picture frame for Matthias and then these two angel wall decorations that I plan on repainting here soon. Maybe a DIY project.

What kind of treaures do you find when you go to antique and thrift stores? Anything awesome, weird or cool?

Another Thrift Store Haul

It has been a while since I last filmed a Thrift Store Haul, I think the last one was when I had to go get summer clothes.  I have been wanting to get more black clothes..I know I know, sounds boring, but we can only wear black at school and now that it is about to be Autumn and I needed more clothes.

I have been on the search in many stores such as Macy's, Charlotte Russe, Papaya, Forever21 and other stores looking for "boyfriend" blazers. I didnt want blazers that were tailored too tightly or too short, and I wanted pockets and lets just say I tried on alot and none would fit right.

So, I went to the local CHKD that I love to go to that is next door to Jerry's Artorama.  I found 4 or 5 blazers and a couple pairs of pants. See my video below!

I love going to Thrift stores mainly because I like finding things that are unique and different, not to mention it doesnt break my pockets!!!

Do you like to go thrifting? What do you look for when you go? I would love to hear your shopping adventures!

I am working on a few halloween tutorials so stay tuned!
