Kid Fashion Models

Good Evening,or I should say good morning (as it is 1:23 AM as I start this blog post)to my fellow artists and creators still awake! I just got done redrawing and coloring a tattoo design and I am contemplating drawing another version of the tattoo while I still have some energy. MMMMeeeeerrrrrr!

I hope that everyone has had a nice Saturday! The Kreative Thinking Apparel Team met up yesterday and today to hold auditions for our fashion show in June coming up. I brought the kiddos today and they even strutted their stuff down our runway. It was so adorable! We had an ok turnout, but the Virginia Fashion Scene is a lil on the slow side. For real!

The weather was kind of chilly and after the auditions, I was ready to take a nap! Does anyone else have days like that? I think my sleep schedule is still a lil off, because I am wide awake now in my art studio (AKA my dining room). I need to go to bed, because in the morning, the whole family is helping my Aunt and grandparents move into their new house. I’m a lil bummed that hubby and I didn’t get to go to the Hampton Roads Tattoo Expo this year. We went last year and it was so much fun!

I feel like I have so much to do, and I’m having trouble focusing right now. This month is slammed with so much going on. Hopefully, Ill be alright. I think I’m a lil off because I havent had any coffee today. I ran out Sad smile

ok, Im rambling! Time to go to bed! See ya tomorrow!

Victorian House Built in 1920

Have you ever felt like you were born in the wrong era? I feel like this all the time. I have always been fascinated with the early 1920’s era. I had a past life regression and (you can believe or not believe in that sort of stuff) I had a past life in 1912. I could go into hours of babbling on about that, but that would stray away from what I am talking about, which I am already doing. I love Victorian Houses! When I was stationed in upstate New York, there were so many houses that I just fell in love with. Not only in New York, Victorian houses are everywhere!

Here are a few cools ones I found that I wanted to share with you!

This is my favorite one above! This would totally be the color scheme I would pick too!

The whole reason for this post is because the Kreative Thinking Apparel Team (partial team) got together earlier this evening to check out a venue for a fashion show were holding in June! We wanted it to be held in a place that would be different than your usual venue. What better place than a Victorian House! Thanks to hospitality to the Women’s Club of Ghent Norfolk, we were able to get a tour of the place.

Talk about charm and intrigue! I fell in love automatically just from stepping foot on the wraparound porch and into the entry way.

My love for you knows no limits. It is timeless, spaceless, formless, unshakable and un breakable. In good times and bad, happy and sad, through the highst highs and lowest of lows know that I am there with you. I will be your strength as you have been mine, desire your best and highest good to manifest itself in yoiur life. I see you completly healed, whole and living the life you are loving, surrounded by so many who love you, just as you are. You are an unbelievable comfort, grace, wonder, inspiration, soul deep connection for which I will forever be grateful. Do not think for one second you are alone, for two hearts and souls joined together in friendship, for this life and in many past lives, forges an unbreakable bond that only grows stronger in time. I love you.

In the mood for a little inspiration?

I am constantly scouring magazines, the internet, old movies, forgotten books to look for things that inspire me. I am inspired by almost any and everything from a teacup, a sunset, the beach, an overgrown grave, abandoned church, to tattoos and well, you understand. Some say that artists can be dramatic, or even have ADD/ADHD, and I think its because we see so much beauty in everyday things that we simply cannot ignore it.

I have been inspired by so many things lately, and I wanted to share some with you. So, sit back with your vanilla caramel latte and cinnamon sugar bagel (my choice this morning) and prepare to be inspired!

That is it my friends, for now. hahaha I could be here online forever just looking at stuff. I know I am not the only one guilty of this! Well, I am off to get ready to go handle some business license "business" Have a great Wednesday:)

When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

Ginger Ale

I am feeling a bit better today than yesterday. I did have to reschedule a client, but she is also one of my good friends, so she understood, I didn’t want to risk getting her and her babies sick. Sad smile I still have congestion and still taking Dayquil and sipping on ginger ale.

I felt well enough to get back into my art studio and work on a few drawings. I finished up a custom tattoo drawing for a client in Florida. Check it out below! This was an honor to do for her because this tattoo represents her youngest child, her daughter that has downs syndrome. The blue and gold water running through the turtle represents the DS ribbon.

I started a new drawing and if felt good to draw again as I haven’t been able to in what feels like weeks.

I was able to get a photo from the photo shoot I did makeup for this past Friday with Roger Mitchells Motiontography and Shannon NinaMarie Payne

Tomorrow is a new day, and I have a meeting tomorrow and then I will get started on a prop for a hair show coming in April.  I am excited. I cant wait to start and I will show you some of the work, (not everything for the sake of the client) but I will show you the framework for anyone who wants to know how to make a stage prop. Smile Would anyone be interested in that? I know my blog is pretty random but I think it would be cool. Well, I am off to bed so I can get up early and finish editing my next youtube video.

Getting through the Cold and a Cold

It has been what I feel like forever since I have blogged, but I think its only been a few days. I have been busy but have also been sick. Hubby caught something that was going around from work and brought it home for me to catch. Nothing too major, just achy body, sore throat and crazy congestion. I have been taking Dayquil and Nyquil like clockwork and drinking tons of fluids.

I hope everyone’s week has been going well.  I have been pretty busy in between a few gigs.  I taught a small face painting class where my hubby and a few other guys volunteered to be models for a few easy kid friendly designs.

I had even brought some of my beauty school mannequins for some people to practice on. We did a few designs that are quick and easy, perfect for a gig that you have to paint a lot of people in a short amount of time. I also prepared a video of me doing 5 face painting designs, but I need to edit it. I am hoping I will feel up to it tomorrow.

I had a photo shoot with Roger Mitchell’s Motiontography and was able to work with a new model. When I get pictures I will post when I can! I scheduled a few new gigs for the future where I will be making a show background prop and another body paint job. I have to say I love having clients return to me for the work I have done for them in the past. There is not a bigger compliment.

I have also won my second createmytattoo.com tattoo contest! It was on this design which I think I have posted before, but if you are just tuning in, here is the design that won!

I also received my Valentine Swap package from the Blogger Swap, but I need to make a video then I will post it. I hope that the girl I swapped with has received my package.

Since I have been laid up in bed, I have been getting caught up on all my shows and getting stuck on new ones: Walking Dead, Face OFF, Project Runway, Once Upon A Time, and I don’t remember what else. I am surprised I haven’t gotten cabin fever. Tons of stuff to do this week, so I need to get better! Just wanted to blog and let you know how I have been doing.

Thanks for stopping by! Xoxoxox, Cecilia

Setting up Shop

Most of my Monday today was spent trying to connect my ebay and paypal accounts and also setting up a shipping company that will work with both these companies. Its sounds easy, but for me it was a lil confusing. With the kids out of school, they were running around speaking “minion” language from “Despicable Me”, so I was a lil distracted and maybe because my coffee didn’t kick in right away.

3F13J53N55Nf5I45M1d22e5c9ea44f6861182

I had decided to sell my portable sink that I had got last year, mainly because I really don’t use it that much and also because I am not really doing too much hair these days. So, I posted it on Ebay and waited to see what happened. After trying to set up UPS and going in circles, I finally switched to USPS, as a suggestion by a fellow business owner/blogger and it was so much easier. If I had first connected all my accounts, everything would have been a lot smoother, but it took ages for me to figure it out. Once I got it, it was smooth sailing. I was able to get everything set up and printed my shipping label, and all I have to do is drop it off at the post office in the morning.

I have tons to do tomorrow to include a meeting with some of the Kreative Thinking crew to sketch some new ideas, post office, a few phone calls, and then a face painting work shop to help show some new girls some easy designs that are popular with the tourists! Here are some awesome ones I found online that I think you all would enjoy! Some range to kiddy/tourist to fashion shoots and couture! Enjoy!
