I have always felt like I came from a different era, like I had a past life sometime in the early 1900's with my obssession with Art Nouveuo and the turn of the century fashion. One thing that I have obssessed over are steam trunks. They have many names like wardrobe trunks, steamer trunks, traveling trunks, and more. Here are some I found that are just so beautiful, you really dont see these type of trunks in circulation anymore., unless youre a movie star!
Black & Pink trunk. This is my favorite one!
This one is very unique and I love the Flag design! I can picture me putting all sorts of stickers of places I have traveled to on the outside of the trunk!
Look how many compartments there are in this one!
This is an entertainment trunk! I doubt this one is for traveling, more like for a small apartment!
I love the details of this trunk, looks very tropical
Pink!!! Can never go wrong with a pink trunk!
I like this one, I want to get this and use for my makeup case. It can fit so much more than your typical makeup case, and you can even put a small stook in there too for your guest to sit down while applying makeup!
I love the design on the outside of this trunk
These trunks can be used for so many things, not just clothing, but like I mentioned makeup, any artist can use to travel with all their paints, I could put my airbrush equipment in there. Any fashion merchadiser could use this to travel with and put in pieces that they purchase. Can you see the many possibilities of a trunk? And when your not using it for travel or display, it could double as a coffee table! :)
I was looking around at the next Big Tattoo Convention in Virginia and came across a few vendors that might be there, and I stumbled across this website: The Underground Asylum
I saw their hair color selection (which they sell Manic Panic) but what really caught my eye are their gruesome selection of shoes!
These are my fav! Anchors, nautical stars and skulls! love love love!
These look like what the Bride of Frakenstein would rock out if she lived in our times now! lol
I think These are called Santaria.....I cant remember
I love these! They are so different thant what you see nowadays. I am thinking these are perfect for the fall!
"EYE" love these wedges! They are so EYEcatching! lol
The website has more than just shoes, they have costumes, accessories, menswear, kidswear. I get excited when I see designs that are out of the norm. It inspires me to keep pushing towards my dreams of designing my own line. Just wanted to share this with you!
I hope it inspires your inner artist!

I got my copy of the photos taken from the Galaxy Photoshoot with Bella Donna Reese Photography. I have to say I am in love with how they turned out! She took over 50 photos, so now I have to pick JUST ONE to be entered for the contest, so I am going to wait to pick the one until I have all photos from all 3 photo shoots. But here is a sneak peek of two photos that Charisse from Bella Donna Reese Photography edited.
I love how they turned out! I am thinking of doing more photoshoots once this contest is over. It would be so much fun! Tomorrow is my next photoshoot, and I am gonna get all my supplies together so I am not rushing around tomorrow like a chicken with its head cut off!

For school, we had to come up with a 3D color wheel in a creative way. Suggestions were to make cupcakes in different colors, or colored items, one girl even made peanutt butter balls (no clue how those would taste! haha) So, I decided to use a canvas I had sitting around and some seashells and also use my new pallate I got from Jerry's ArtORama. Here is what I came up with:
Sea Shell/ beach inspired Color wheel complete with netting!
breakin in my new pallette. I love the thumb grib! So much easier to paint with easy access to my paint!
The only thing bad about painting is accidentally drinking your dirty paint water and mistaking it for your tea. lol! Luckily I caught myself, but I should start using glass containers so I can actually see what I am holding! lol
dirty paint water......yuck!
Here is my last two candles burning, I need to get more. I cant paint without my candle "ambiance" lol
I love these candle holders, the glow is so pretty from the cracked glass effect
I was able to use my glue gun again that I found in a box after searching for a week for it. Then, while I had my glue gun out, I went ahead and made the hair accessories for my Mermaid inspired photoshoot I have this week. I was gonna leave them white, but then decided to paint them:
Seashell Hair Clips
Painted greenish/blue ocean colors, still wet!
well it is turning midnight and I need to get to bed, just had to get this post in! I hope you enjoyed and are inspired!

When I get a chance to, I like to go window shopping. Some people do not see the point in this, but I like to window shop to see what is new to stores, upcoming trends and things I may want to buy. I was browsing TJ MAXX looking for a shirt to get for my "Mermaid" theme photoshoot I am having later this week, and ended up in the shoe section and I fell in love with these:
These floral print heels were on sale for $30
I couldnt resist putting these babies on!!
I may have to go back and get them because I havent been able to get them out of my head!
Later, I went to Jo-Annes Fabrics to check out what they have too. I love the seasonal items they sell. I love to sew, but my sewing machine has a piece that is broken, so I need to get it to a shop! I love looking at fabrics and imagining all the things I could make out of them. Check out some of these fierce fabric finds!
pink/purple metallic zebra print
silver and gold metallic fabrics
Flannels!!! I want to make pjs and blankeys out of these!
I found a cute lil sewing machine for $30 that I am thinking about getting for my daughter, Arabella. Tell me this isnt the cutest. She told me she wanted to learn last year, so maybe a christmas gift.
looks easy enough and I can customize it just for her! SHe will love it!
That was all for my windowshopping yesterday! Just wanted to share with you!

I cant figure out how to postthe same post in both blogs, I just wanted to share to my other readers who look at this blog to see this post that I put on my other blog (was that confusing to read as it was for me to write it?) jeezzzzzz..anyways, here are some photos of a cheetah/leopard animal inspired hair design for my shaved head (that sounds weird huh?) Enjoy!
The shaved part is not as bright as the rest of my head, but it will grow out soon
I also cut my fringe to frame my face better
I love how VIBRANT this red hair is
I hope this inspired you to do something BOLD and different, FUN and Flirty to your look!

My Mom came home on leave from Korea, and I totally was gonna blog about this, and then forgot, just like the scattered-brained artist that I am. Her and my grandmother went on a trip to the Philipines before coming back home, (and yes, I am part Filipina) and she came home bearing gifts.
Left to Right: tote from the PI, ginseng tea from Korea, Caviar Set, Chocolates from Korea
The Face Shop: Caviar and Black Pearl
Ginseng Tea which is yummy with a pinch of sugar
Hazelnut Chocolates
Tote from the Philipines
I like the tea, my husband drank it and had so much energy that he cleaned the whole house! I havent really tried the chocolate, but I have tried the Face Shop Caviar set and its not too bad. My mom said it was expensive and it is supposed to be really good. I have been using it and I cant tell a difference in my skin, but I have been so on-the-go I havent noticed! But wanted to share this with you.

I cant remember if I posted about this before, but in case I havent, Dr Pepper and Deviantart is having Another contest to design a mural to be painted onto a building in NY (the last contest was for a mural in California). I wanted to participate in the contest last time, but because I was attending two schools full time, I just didnt have the time to.
photobucket.com
Imagine my surprise when I check my deviantart (which is an online community for artists to share and sell his or her work) messages and I saw another contest! So I thought I would share it with anyone who is interested in the contest as well.
Winners get their mural painted, flown out to see your mural, cash, an Ipad 2, deviantart points, and deviantart merchandise! see here for more info!
Good Luck to fellow artists!

This past thursday, I packed all my kits (makeup, hair, and airbrush kits) and made my way to do my first model's hair and makeup for Photoshoot #1. We set up at her house in her backyard since the humidity decided to play nice and not be all hot and gross....we had about 2 hours to do both hair and makeup. I started out doing an "invisible" roller set...hehehehe which is just taking the hair and basically putting it into a pincurl and clipping it, spraying with hairspray and letting it set. The first run through, the makeup did not show up at all as vibrant as I had wanted it to:
first run through without airbrush makeup base
with airbrush makeup! Such a difference! The color is more vibrant which is what I was looking for!
applying lip liner to my model
We had so much fun doing this look! The photographer is so amazing! She shoots in her Studio Loft! The atmosphere was great, she had music playing and we were a great team! We have two more shoots to do inthe next two weeks and I am excited. The shots so far turned out amazing!
Here is a video of Charisse ( Belladonna Reese Photography) doing a photoshoot/video for a local company called JSNL. Step Your Game Up!
You can check out her Facebook here for more of her work and if your in the local 757 area and need an amazing photographer, look her up!
touching up her makeup :)
So, I hope you enjoyed a lil behind the scenes action for the first photoshoot!
A few weeks ago, I had ordered a mini starter airbrush makeup set from temptu.com. I ran into a dilemna with my airbrush gear and had to order a new airbrush and a new hose, there were some parts missing and finally after trips to micheals and home depot and the help of my husband, I was able to get what I needed to get the ball rolling.
I ordered this set, just to see how Temptu makeup sprayed on
I only tried one color last night, which was the yellow pigment. I sprayed it on my arm and cheek to test how it felt on my skin and I even tested it on my husbands chest and sprayed a fake six-pack lol I was laughing so hard. I wish I couldve gotten a pic of it, ( I am getting really bad at that).
So, here is my review on the Temptu: It does not rub off at all when it is applied to the skin. No sticky residue, it does have a slight odor to it, but nothing youre gonna gag on and wanna visit the toilet to see your lunch again LOL! It does come off easily, I just ran water over it and it was gone! I do not know how well it blends together with other colors, but I will be testing that tomorrow.
Tomorrow evening, I will be on set with a photogrpaher to shoot my galaxy "Runway" theme! I am so excited to finally get this going! I may have an assistant there to help film a before and during shot, or activity so I can "bring" yall with me!
I was busy yesterday playing with makeup all day! I had already did a run through with my first model a few weeks ago, and I scheduled my other two models to come in and practice the looks we are shooting for the Photo Stylist contest, (you can read more about the contest here)
Here are my three themes I decided to come up with that I am OBSSESSED WITH!
First, I have my Galaxy Theme, with blues, purples and pinks and white stars:
Next, I have my Art Nouveau Peacock theme, inspired by the beautiful peacock feathers:
And Last, but certainly not least, Mermaids! I love the mythology of a mermaid and I must have so many mermaid photos and gifts and I even have a mermaid tattoo!
I cannot wait for the actual photo shoots which will be happening this month in the next few weeks! yay! I found an awesome photographer which I will find out her website and post it for anyone who is interested. I will def post more updates as I complete this project for the contest! Just thought I would share what I have been working on as far as my makeup craft! I hope you enjoyed and have been inspired!
