Stocking Up on Supplies

Yesterday went by in a big blur! A very exciting blur that left me tired and exhausted when I walked into my front door at midnight! I am not complaining because I love what I do. So, it’s a very satisfying exhaustion. Jinaki and I started our day bright and early at 730am to run a few errands and grab some supplies from the hair store and Ulta to stock up on supplies that have been running low in our kits. Two of my favorites that I stocked up on were NYX White eye shadow primer and a beauty blender sponge!

Speaking of supplies, I ordered a few things I needed from ebay too to add to my kit.

I ended up purchasing the Ben Nye Matte Foundation Pallete! I love their body paint, so I know I will love their foundations! This baby will come in good use for a few makeup gigs later this month for a play that Jinaki and I were invited to do makeup and hair at Willett Hall.

The lights burned out on my overhead projector, and I have been looking locally to find a replacement, but after searching various stores, I just went ahead and ordered some from online and it’s so much easier this way. I cant wait to get these, because I use my projector a lot when it comes to refining my tattoo designs.

Yesterday, we had some fierce wind and rain and when I say fierce…I mean, I was blown across the street heading into the photo studio! Our special client is a talented young woman who is a singer, songwriter and actress,Tia Rachelle. I cannot wait to show you more from the photoshoot but I cant yet until its released!

Since I cant show you those photos just yet, Ill show you a couple of photos from the past week or two.

Below: Jinaki, Myself and James Person

Below: Myself and Lance who is also apart of Roger Mitchell’s Motiontography helping to test out the lighting and to get in a behind the scenes shot.

Below: Miss Shannon Marie in another stunning shot with makeup done by me! How amazing does she look?!

It’s rounding midnight and I have an early appointment and I am ready to go to bed! I’m pretty tired since I woke up early to do a video shoot (but it got rescheduled) and I ended up just staying awake to go through emails, invoices and clean up my art studio!

Goodnight my friends and see you tomorrow for more random adventures!

Believing in yourself is the first secret to success.

If you ever want things to happen in your life, you have to first be willing to believe in yourself. One thing we have to learn in life is that we will make mistakes, we will do things wrong, but one of the worst things we can do when we do things wrong is to get so down on ourselves that we forget to keep pushing.

Marionette/Lolita Doll Face

It was dress up day today, so everyone came in wearing cute, creepy, funny, sweet or crazy costumes. The weather turned very chilly today with cold wind and some ice rain, I thought it was going to snow. I just found out that parts in NYC got some snow too. CRAZY!!!

I decided to dress up as a Marionette/ Lolita Doll. The best part of this look was the eyelashes! I love how it makes my eyes bigger and doll like. I wanted to do more to this look, but just didnt have the time. I will have to do a photo shoot and elaborate on all the details.

This is my friend Jinaki who dressed like a guy! hahahah

There were lots of other awesome looks: check out these photos:

Today went by super fast and now I am at home, lounged out in my bed- it is so cold outside- so I have my fluffy socks on, sweatpants and a comfy sweater and my laptop to keep me warm. hahahaha

My hubby is out with my brother doing the Zombie Run in Ghent Norfolk so I am getting some relax time :)

What do you like to do when you are home on a cold night? Watch movies? Make hot cocoa? Leave a comment, would love to hear about you! Dont forget to Join or Follow my blog for more updates!

With Halloween around the corner, ghouls, ghosts, spirits, goblins, witches are all out and about but lately it just seems like ZOMBIES have been taking over!

Everywhere I look, its just ZOMBIE Fever!

You can find this at

My brother got me hooked on the show, THE WALKING DEAD- and if you havent seen this original series on AMC- you better check it out. I usually dont like cheesy zombie flicks or shows, but this one is pretty good I have to admit! In fact a new episode comes on tonight!

I found some other pretty cool stuff online too

I love this makeup!

This is a tattoo I came across online thought it was pretty good detail work! It looks awesome and lifelike

Then as I was looking up PAW PALETTES, (check out my blog about it here) and came across a company called INSTANT MONSTERS and thought it was pretty cool. It is a company that makes Hollywood quality prosthetics and makeup supplies. Check out their website if you are into makeup like that, there are even Instructional Videos on how to apply the prosthetics.

They also have a FACEBOOK so check it out and "LIKE" their page!

What do you think about ZOMBIES? Cool? Creepy? Awesome?

Here is one of my favorite songs lately by NATALIA KILLS called "Zombie" I hope you enjoy it!

Taste the RAINBOW

I teamed up with my friend T'tielle a few days ago during our photoshoot class to practice on my Day of the Dead makeup, which turned out A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! (If you missed out on it, click here). So, the next day, it was her turn to do my hair and makeup. She wanted to do a Skittles Candy Theme. We tried to glue Skittle to my eyebrows but we werent able to get them to stick without cutting them in half ( I forgot my exacto knife which would have worked perfectly!) She ended up putting loose glitter overwhere the Skittles should have been. We had fun attempting to put candy on my face. hahaha

T'Tielle has a very bright and fun outgoing personality so I thought it was perfect that she wanted to do this rainbow theme makeup. I love that she wanted to use blue as a blush on my cheeks. I love anything out of the box!

Our friend, Jinaki "Naki Saki" braided up my hair and curled it so it would be fun and bouncy! Then paired with my most brightest yellow top and green dress, I took a few pictures. I look like an 80's commercial for Rainbow Brite or Skittles. hahahahaa

The other girls in my class looked so AMAZING too!

And this last picture, I had to take with the "fish face" just to mock all the girls that do that face when they take pictures. and you know what I am talking about. We all used to do it. lol

Thanks for stopping by my loves!

Bouncy Houses, hot chocolate and scary masks!

Its a sunday afternoon or I should say evening and I am sitting with my two kids and husband finishing up watching Home Alone. This is the first chance I got all day that I can finally sit and rest!

I took the kids to a friend of mine's daughter's 2nd birthday party that she hosted at The Bounce House. If you dont know what a bounce house is, it is those big inflatable things that kids jump on and slide on and just run into things. Many people usually rent them at their homes in their backyards. or if youre kandee johnson, she puts them in her living room! hahaha (youtube it, its funny!) The Bounce House is where they have like 10 of these things set up and kids are just running around amped up on sugar and wreaking havoc. HAHAHAHA

Yummy Ariel Cupcake Cake! SOOOO cute and yummy...see the birthday girls lil hand sneakin some icing. hahaha

After the party, we stayed for an extra half hour and let the kids get tuckered out while I chatted with a friend from school about the kiddos aka Mommy talk. hahaha

Then once we picked up Jermie from work, we wanted to go look at whats in the Halloween Stores because its all of ours favorite holiday besides Christmas! I stocked up on cream costume makeup for upcoming Halloween tutorials! I got alot of inspiration and am ready to go!!! Matti and Jermie got a few fake guns to play with and make noise to drive me crazy!!! hahaha Bella was scared walkin in the store, since she didnt get any toys, we treated her to Skinny Dip.

We made a pit stop at Starbucks where I had to recharge with a cinnamon dulce latte while the kids drank Hot Chocolate. Jermie got his white chocolate mocha-which was a nice way to relax on our drive home.

So, that was my day today, now I am going through emails, and organizing everything I need to do within the next week or two including finishing tattoo drawings and planning my next tutorials for halloween!

cinnnnaaaaammmminy lattes and whipped cream, Cecilia
