Cruisin around

Come cruisin with me!

Hello my sweets! I made this video on my way out to run errands and do a lil shopping by myself (retail therapy) So, this is just me driving around talking and being weird and random. Hope you enjoy and try not to laugh so hard at me! Love you all!

Curls Curls Curls

Here is a quick video on how I use a Marcel Iron (an iron that is NOT spring loaded)to curl my hair. I am asked alot how I curl my hair. It may seem like a silly question, but I never used to be good with a curling iron...takes TONS of practice! I love to curl my hair, because it gives my hair a good texture to work with.

Hope you like it! Please enjoy! Thanks for stopping by!

Nautical Inspired

I did these videos back to back...I wanted to show my makeup and also how I used the marcel iron as well. This look was really easy to create..from start to finish with makeup and hair, it only really took my about 40 minutes (and thats with day 2 hair).  I love this look! I wore it to go to a meeting for the makeup club at RKA. The makeup is a lil bold, ( i think its because the red color is in the inner eye and blends into the white and then the blue).

I wanted something different than the average "smokey eye".  I hope to focus in makeup along with fashion of course so I like to "look the part".  I want people to see what I can do so that they can come to me for their makeup needs :)

Enjoy! and have an awesome day!

Workin at the carwash yea...

Saturday, I helped participate in a carwash, again to help raise money for charity....This is the last week for funraising...(thankfully, and I feel that way only because I am exhausted from all the events!)  We had a TOPLESS carwash!

And it is not what you think of being "topless", (you perverts!)  we only wash the bottom of your car for a donation, and if you want the top of your car washed, then you pay $5..hahahaha...get it? topless????

One lady who drove by, saw the sign, pulled over and gave us $10 for the sign that said "topless" and she ripped it up..and drove off! She didnt even give us a chance to explain what it meant. Crazy lady!
My friends Taylor and I

A group of boys drove by and threw a pancake too..or tried to throw a pancake at one of the girls while the guy in the front was video taping it. (i am gonna look for it on you tube lol).....so needless to say our day was entertaining.  We raised $500! so not bad, huh?

we even got to wash a bike!

we had fun, I got a lil sunburnt (which is now faded into a nice tan) and even plotted a water attack...video will be up soon on it! so keep a look out!...........my friend, Winter kept "accidentally" wetting us all with the water hose and soap....so we all kept tellin her that she will get hers lol so we got her. She was a good sport! and we all hugged her.

Hope you enjoyed reading and thanks for stoppin by!

Slumber Party!

me and my friend Kate in our pjs!

Last friday at RKA (Rudy & Kelly Academy) in an effort to help raise more money for our FUNraising campaign, held a pajama party during school hours.  Each student pays $20 to lounge all day and watch movies and stuff our faces and still get our credit hours for it.  I participated in one a few months ago, and won a few gifts, so I was hoping to win more this time. They raffled off clippers and a blow dryer.

We raised over $1200 from tickets and raffles. We all brought our pillows and blankets (and I edited some videos) and watched movies. We watched "Sleepy Hollow", "Crybaby", and "Moulin Rouge".

We all had so much fun! Fun raising is almost over....I am gonna miss these pj Parties!

Whats your favorite scary movie?

The weather was so nice today....I think it got up to like 87 degrees. After school and running errands, my brother, hubby and I and one of my brother's friends headed to the beach to soak up some rays. They played some football while I tried to lay out..and when I say try is because it was windy out, and that made sand go EVERYWHERE....so NOT FUN.

I did get a cappachino heath blizzard from Dairy Queen ( which I used to work there as a teenager!)

After the beach, we all headed to the mall, grubbed on some food...I had Chick-Fil-A..which I was yelled at for (since my lil bro and his friend had some....uh...rather not nice things to say about Chick-Fil-A..due to some reasons I wont discuss on here) but I am addicted to fast food and it is my fav...so nothing will stop me. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHa mwahahahahaha (evil laugh)

We went and saw SCREAM 4:
Which I liked it..it follows the previous 3 before. It was a lil cheesy but most scary movies have a bit of cheesiness to them. I grew up with the Scream Movies and I liked it. Just when I thought I had the suspects down, it surprised me.

I saw a few previews I cant wait to see like the next Pirates of the Carribean. I love Johnny Depp and cant wait to see Penelope Cruz too!

Excited! Then one of my favorite tv shows is coming back on next month..and yes, it is Jerseyliscious. There is drama and crazy fashion and makeup, but I love that it is in a salon setting and shows how parts of the industry!

Right now, I am geekin out on American Idol, and I just voted online...I really love the styles and music of Haley and Casey! I love Haley and I really hope she wins. I would definetly buy an album if she makes one!

Whats your current tv or movie obssession? Please leave a comment, I would love to see what other peoples favorites are and what other people are watching!

New Week

Video coming soon on this "True Blue" Look!

It is a beautiful week so far.  My weekend was awesome, I got some shopping done and have started tanning (just to get a lil summer glow) and did a few videos as well. (coming soon below:)

  •  True Blue Makeup
  • Nautical/Patriotic
  • Curling hair using a Marcel Iron
  • Thrift store Haul
  • Braiding techniques
  • CHI/Manic Panic Hair color review
So this is what is coming within the next few weeks. I will try to get these out every other couple of days!

I actually took myself jogging this evening, which is something I have been wanting to do for a few months now. I am really out of shape! These are the times that I miss being in the army... when I was in shape and had to run everyday...and my body was killer! Funny how time flies.....and age creeps up on you and the weight!

I only ran about half an hour just to warm up and get used to it.  I really dont like running...I love the elliptical....I think I may have to start going to the rec or a gym.   I have also started to tan, which I like to do, I know the dangers in it, I am using good lotion and eye protection...I am only tanning for a month just to get a base tan, then I will go to the beach!   Jermie was so adorable, he actually went tanning too! He just wanted to see what the hype was.....lol He is so cute. I am so lucky to have found him :) (enter cheesy moment!)

I just got done doing a marble effect on my nails.....which, might I add...is extremely messy!!!

Here is my attempt to do a marble technique.....If anyone is interested in a video of this, please let me know by leaving a comment!  Well, not the best, but not bad for my first time!

I hope yall have a great week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tornado Warning!

Right now, our area has a tornado warning in effect. My husband and I are laying in bed and watching Harry Potter Seven part 1 that the kids wanted to watch, but of course have wandered across the hall to my cousins room and has now started another movie. LOL. Kids are funny like that.

Today wasnt too bad, I didnt want to wake up this morning after resuming my sleep medication because I cant seem to shut my brain off and get to sleep at a decent hour, as I rushed to get to school, I actually had time to grab breakfast at Mickey D's which I havent done in a long while. And as I waited for my order (2 hashbrowns, a sausage biscuit and orange juice), one of the old timers that prolly goes there every morning greeted me and said " you look sharp, gal", and that compliment started my morning off nice, because I have to admit, I was feelin pretty grumpy.  I left Mcdonalds and got to school telling myself "It will be a good day".

When I got to school, I was surprised to find that a girl from my english class whom I gave my business card to, booked an appointment with me for a haircut and a color service! That boosted my morning even more, even though it was still cloudy all day!

I wish I had my camera (again my memory card was in the computer)...I wanted to take a before and after picture! Maybe I can get her to email me one.  We had fun though, I had an assistant ( or protege student as we call them at school) and I colored her hair a pretty reddish dark mohangany brown, with peek-a-boo highlights and trimmed her up with face framing layers!  It was so much fun and nice to share an experience like that with someone, because its not just doing someones hair, I made her smile, and she was so excited, I made her day. I like that feeling. She left and she tipped me my BIGGEST TIP so far: $25! Wow!

After that, I got the kids and we headed to a friends birthday party, whose son turned One! There was a lot of kids there, but my kids had fun running around and grubbin up the food which was yummy!  I am glad I got to see some of my friends I havent seen in a while, and I even chatted up a girl who was interested in me doing her hair, so I passed out my business card to her! I love it! I even got a couple of compliments on my hair! Someone called it "Fierce" lol.

Well, Thats about it for my day, now I can relax, finish watching HP7 and squeeze in my homework.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Greatest Show on Earth!

The circus came to town and me, the hubby and the kiddos made our way to see "The Greatest Show on Earth" on saturday night! We were all pretty excited to go, since I havent been since Arabella was born in 2004 and Jermie hasnt gone since he was a kid and the kids have never been! So, we wanted to start the family tradition of going to the circus!

Our seats were not that bad, I do not want to complain since we got the tickets at a good price: Kids were only $10 each and adult tickets were only $12 each.

They loved it! Arabella mainly wanted to see the Tigers ..which her and I share a love for White Tigers! And Matthias was more interested in the motorcycle toy we bought him during Intermission and eating food! He is such a boy!

On the tight rope...watching this made me so nervous
We all loved it and had a great time!  Me and Matthias got snow cones in cute circus cups.....I got a white tiger cup and he got a circus cup that lights up on the bottom! Then of course, they got toys..because whats the circus without buying toys....(geez) Matti got a motorcycle, Bella got A baby white tiger that came in a purse, and Jermie got a necklace that lights up!

I think the circus comes once or twice a year, but next time, take your family and kids out for a good old fashioned fun time!

March Core Class Fashion Show

I feel like all I do is apologize when I start a blog post because my posts are not up as much as I would like them to be.  I am so busy!!!  I didnt have class tonight, and I just finished with my homework with Art History, so as promised to the March Core class that just finished their core, I have finally uploaded their fashion show that I video recorded.

I picked a spot up front, but I wasnt able to record as good as I would have liked, but oh well. The new class rocked it! They chose to do a "decades" theme starting from the 1930's. They all had great energy and all danced to the music! I have gotten to know a few of the girls and they are all awesome! I am glad they made it through to Core!
Watch their show below!

The new Core class starts next week, so I will of course record that one as well! Thanks for stopping by!

On that Blue Kick

I know it has been a week or two since I have last posted on here, it has just been crazy! The past two weeks have been non stop. So, here is the first blog post to update yall on my hair. A few weeks ago I posted a blog about the hair cut and color I wanted and our school had a funraising event where our learning leaders will do our hair and all the money we pay goes towards our funraising campaign.

A few of the girls, Jinaki and Winter and myself all met up at Golden Corral and had breakfast....where I pigged out on pancakes, hashbrowns, BACON, fruit and coffee!!!! YUM!

Then we headed to the school and Christina got started on my Mane!

We went with a dark dark brown (4NN) for the all over color in the back and a few pieces on the side. Then double process application for the left side of my head.

After processing, Winter helped rinse it out and then I was off to Sal's chair for the haircut! I wanted the partial head shaved on my right side with a design shaved into it and triangular layers everywhere! I did cut off the length just because  my ends were really split!

Jinaki holding the hair that was cut from my right side! She was in more shock than me when I got my haircut!
Sal did an awesome job and I really love it! He had a really cool technique of twisting the hair in a section and then taking the razor and just chopping it off, leaving the hair to fall in a nice textured layered look! I wish I couldve caught it on video but the camera was dead :(

So, here is the result! I had him shave a star with the clippers..I love stars...its a lil off and not porportional but I love it!

I didnt get to do the blue part at school because I bought a color from Chi at Cosmo Prof in "Real Blue" so when I got home, I did a couple of foils with the blue, I let it process for about half an hour and washed it out. Since I do have some "box" color on my hair, some of the old color did not lift, so that is why the blonde is not as light, so the blue only took to my new growth area, either way I love it.

Tell me what you think! I hope that you get inspired to do something amazing and out the box like I did!
